ARTICLE II: WAGES       

Section 2—Extra Pay Days

Employees paid under this EP arrangement will not be eligible to receive a weekend/holiday differential for that same day, nor will overtime be paid. This is just paid as an extra day in addition to regular earnings. 

Under Article V, Section 2 of the September 1, 2008 Agreement, between Norfolk Southern and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET), the following six (6) days have been designated as Extra Pay Days for through freight engineers who will go on duty between 12:00 A.M., and 11:59 P.M., on the designated days listed below.

Gulf Division

  • February 8, 2026—Super Bowl
  • April 5, 2026—Easter
  • May 10, 2026—Mother’s Day
  • July 3, 2026—Day before Independence Day
  • October 17, 2026—College Football & Hunting
  • November 28, 2026—Saturday After Thanksgiving

Great Lakes Division

  • April 5, 2026—Easter
  • May 10, 2026—Mother’s Day
  • May 25, 2026—Memorial Day
  • June 21, 2026—Father’s Day
  • July 4, 2026—Independence Day
  • November 28, 2026—Saturday after Thanksgiving

Coastal Division

  • February 8, 2026—Super Bowl
  • April 3, 2026—Good Friday
  • May 10, 2026—Mother’s Day
  • June 21, 2026—Father’s Day
  • July 4, 2026—Independence Day
  • November 25, 2026—Day before Thanksgiving

Keystone Division

  • February 8, 2026—Super Bowl
  • April 5, 2026—Easter
